Cleaning LadyI went to a new client’s home recently; she wanted me to organize the entire house room by room, from top to bottom
including the garage (except the attic). She has a full time housekeeper, who must ride a broom vs. use it!

The scenario that’s most common is people buy lots of books and materials about organizing but find themselves unable to
execute and even though they may have maids or Nannies…that doesn’t mean the person “pitches in” to help or will go
beyond their job descriptions. They work around the “mess”

This housekeeper gave up on housekeeping a long time ago. As we’d purge a room and I’d bring order to it, I went and
pulled her from folding mounds of laundry to “cleaning” I said; guess what? You get your job back! She’d come in the
room and I’d point out to her what needed to be done and she was thrilled to do it. Sometimes the “mess” overwhelms
everyone and everyone “gives up” --- it’s simply too daunting.

I left with hugs and tears of joy many times. The maid was glad to be using the broom again vs. riding it,
she thanked me as much if not more than the owner of the home!
