Tis' the Season to File

SantaSanta...File Taxes, but perhaps your first thought was filing a lawsuit, divorce, bankruptcy or your papers that are stacking up! Well, you could "file" many things.
Gees, in a computer world why are we still "filing" so much? I really don't have lots of "papers" to file, however what I do have I'm about to scan my little heart out and get rid of this "ugly dark grey" cabinet! Then I sigh and think...if I only had an "Extra Me!"

I think I just need to "make an appointment with myself" and scan a file a day to keep the paper monster away. Okay, I couldn't resist counting. That's only 5 tabs and within that I could live without actually touching 10-15 file folders. I can still "view them" either in my computer files or sign up for Gmail and get Google.docs or another online storage source to get my files. Take a peek at this also for online storage options.

So I'm still stuck with some papers. I'm not sure any of us is ever going to be truly "paperless" are you? To some degree "fear" plays a role in what we do, change or don't do or change because of the great "What If Questions"

•    What if I need them and programs change? After all they do, they have, they will...
•    What if I need them and forget where I filed them in my computer?
•    What if I forget my password to where I put them online?
•    What if my printer breaks when I need to print one?

Facts are we can't live with "What If's" without being paralyzed or "If only Ida's" - I've often thought a good nick-name for some of us (not me, maybe you...lol) is "If Only Ida."

Some of those fears can be resolved by organization, planning, taking care of something (like a copy machine or buying cartridges) or simply trusting you CAN convert stuff. Technology seems to only be getting "better and easier" for us to "convert" change or update. So, don't worry...be happy!

Need help with filing or just file this away and call me when you are. I'll be here.
