We'll watch and pray

Whether your Christian or not you're probably familiar with the scripture (my paraphrased version)
when Jesus said "I'm going away to be with my Father, would you please watch my back?"
Can you imagine going away, asking someone to do something for you (when you're about to die for them)
and they can't be reliable for 6, 8 or 10 hours! It's really a good thing I'm not God, because I'd have
been really ticked off at them and shared my thoughts.  Yet the illustration shows us giving is never
about what others do for us, but what are intentions are for others and I think it clearly shows we
usually can't rely on "man" (no matter what we've done or are about to do) but we can always count on God.

Boy if you only knew the junk I've been through and the opportunities I've had to have a great big sigh,
forgive and move on.  One of the things really upsetting to me is to hear about companies that have done
something unethical to a family (or person) and how that's taints a person to reach out again. Amazing
how a domino effect can take place to an industry involving one company. I'm sure we all feel very leery
of oil rigs in the ocean after BP's big mess up.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know we're really honored being asked to "watch your back" while you're away
and we will. Many of you spend money on continuing landscaping while away, maid service and pet service
(depending on how long your away) so why not spend $50 for someone to house sit.  We have clients that live
in the Bahamas, West Africa, Grand Cayman, London and Germany.  We visit their home 1 to 3 times a week,
forward mail, water plants, deal with contractors when needed, make sure the contractors are continuing to
do the work they bill the owners for and often follow up when needed to "poke them" when they aren't. ...
and believe me like those disciples they sleep on the job! Since we live in an area that snows we also
schedule the plow to come in IF needed to safely get to the front door (this is also important issue for
the home owner while away...liability wise as well as appearance).

Read one of our testimonies that was written by one of our dear clients.

When we found out that my husband's job would be taking us out of the country for much of the year I had no
idea how we would be able to manage our home here in Virginia.
Who would check on the house in case of problems? How would I get mail and packages? These were two of the
many concerns we had.
Then I found Extra You. They check on my house, forward mail, even periodically start the cars so the battery
won't be dead when we get home.  It's been a wonderful relief for us.
I get updates on how everything is and if there are any concerns. For instance once the sprinkler system
seemed not to be working in one area, Rebekah e-mailed us about it and we were able to contact our landscape
people to fix it.
Extra You allows us to be in two places at one time. If a service man has to get in, Rebekah can be there.
Need some groceries there when you arrive home? They will be in the fridge for you. Once, our daughter was
going to be staying at our house for the week-end and arriving late at night.
Unfortunately I couldn't be there to see her, but Rebekah made sure the lights were on when she got there.
When we are away from our home for these long periods of time, Extra You has given us peace of mind.

Anne and Gary, Oakton VA

Like I said, we'll REALLY "watch while you're away!"
You're life doesn't have to be at stake and neither does your house!
