Pandora's BoxJust to give you a "little foundation" for what I'm going to say...at Extra You, one of the many things we do is take clients (usually seniors to normal visits for tests, exams and such) to the Doctor's office.  We don't just take them (and drop them off) more often than not we go into the appointment with them (just like a family member). If requested we always do.

Okay, I’m passionate about this topic, so I’ll try to be short and sweet vs. blab on and on!

I take clients to the Doctor’s office weekly. No, we don’t just drop them off. We escort them
from door to door and come with pen & paper to take notes (IF they want us IN the appointment –
most seniors do), a of bottle water for them, Kleenex and a few oldies CD’s (like Patsy Cline)
if they care to listen along the way.

So what does a “senior advocate” really mean? Advocacy means someone who recommends or supports something or someone.
To speak in favor of something, giving support, helper, somebody who acts or intercedes on the behalf of another,
“lawyer” (lit. or fig.) someone who pleads another’s case. 

Of course she’s the “newborn expert” --- touts having had famous clients and has spots on the news (perhaps from when she first began)…
