Seniors
Mrs. Parks is an 80 year young, energetic senior. She had given up driving and was accustomed to her husband running errands and maintaining the household bills. When he passed away, she considered moving into an assisted care facility but turned to Extra You instead. We visit her weekly and keep her home tidy and organized. We pay her monthly bills. She did not want to part with her car, so we use it to go grocery shopping, gift shopping and to take her to needed doctor's appointments. We make sure the car is always full of gas and is well maintained, and that she has everything that she needs to maintain her independent lifestyle. 16 hours per month retainer
Mrs. Stillman, a widow with two adult children(both of whom lived out of town) wanted to get her papers in order. Prior to her husband passing away, she had never filed or paid bills. She was unaware of what was in the filing cabinets. Extra You went through years of papers, shredded everything she was keeping that wasn't necessary and put everything in order. She wanted her children to be able to access everything easily upon her death. 16 hours total.
Families
Carol is a successful single mom of two. When juggling home, kids and career became too stressful, she turned to Extra You. Initially, we arranged for a personal chef and new nanny, organized her master closet and de-cluttered her entire home. We visit weekly to help maintain organization, drop off and pick up her dry cleaning, transport family dog to and from the spa, and work with the nanny to maintain the home. 20 hours per month retainer
The Richards were the classic family. Bill did the 9 to 5 and Mary stayed home with their two small children. When Bill suddenly suffered a stroke, Mary had no choice but to return to work. A friend recommended Extra You. We stepped in and helped to maintain the household by paying bills, filing, grocery shopping, finding a wonderful nanny for the children, and keeping the home tidy and organized. The Platt family definitely has their hands full with triplets! Extra You does their meal planning and grocery shopping. Every two weeks we deliver menus, the recipes and the groceries. We run various household errands, helped locate a part-time nanny and take care of merchandise returns. The Disabled
Nancy was recently diagnosed with Macular Degeneration. She retained Extra You knowing that her needs would be changing and evolving, confident that we would change and evolve with her. She no longer drives and we help her with shopping, various errands, and just to “get out”. We organized her home including her closets, pantry and refrigerator. We visit weekly and tidy up the house and help out where needed. 16 hours per month retainer
Mr. Martin is 56 years old and retired after an on the job accident left him permanently disabled. Recently divorced, his family was concerned about his well-being. The family hired Extra You to help Mr. Martin on a weekly basis. Initially, we helped him with organizational skills, helped him with basic computer skills, sorted his mail and helped with writing checks. When Mr. Martin decided to move into an assisted care facility, Extra You packed his belongings, helped him choose which things he wanted to keep and which should be donated, unpacked and “staged” the house at the new location. We still visit weekly to put clean laundry away, maintain the home in an orderly fashion and enjoy lunch and wonderful conversation. 16 hours per month retainer
Executives
Mr. McCann is a busy CEO. When he decided to move from Maryland to Virginia, he hired Extra You. We referred him to a Realtor who assisted him with selling his home in Maryland and purchasing a new home in Virginia. Currently, we set up his corporate and personal dinners, gift shop for his clients and employees, pick up and drop off his dry cleaning, keep his refrigerator and wine cabinet stocked, tend to his car, pay and file his personal bills, and maintain his home office in an orderly fashion. 30 hours per month retainer
The Ryan’s live and work on the West Coast, but maintain a home in Virginia as well. They visit quarterly and retained Extra You to take care of the home full time. We take care of various household needs, make arrangements for any needed repairs, and cater to their visiting guests by arranging dinners, obtaining event tickets, and welcoming them with a gift basket. 24 hours per month retainer
Mary travels out of the country and when she is gone she has her mail held. She use to shop via magazine prior to the internet and use to receive "every known magazine to man." She had so much mail it took her 5+ hours to go through it all upon returning home. She was also a victim of identity theft at one time, so she shredded anything with her name on it. She hired Extra You initially to get rid of all the magazines and JUNK mail. She can now return home and go through her mail within an hour. 12 hours total.
Property Management Clients
The Stokes family has a home in Oakton, VA and a home in The Bahamas. Mr. Stokes works in both Virginia and The Bahamas. We visit the home twice a week and forward mail, walk the home and oversee contractor issues when needed. If anything looks "out of the ordinary" (such as growing weeds) we keep tabs on the upkeep of the Virginia home and stay in close contact with the family. 8-12 hours per month
The Davidson's have a home in Leesburg, VA and a home in West Africa (soon to again relocate to another foreign country). They bought a home "to retire in" here in Virginia. In the meantime, we will visit the home weekly (they started out with wanting the home visited 3 times a week), purchased lights and timers for the home, dealt with snow removal when needed, scheduled the home to be rekeyed after purchase and had all utilities turned on and set up for automatic payment directly after closing. 12-15 hours per month
The Foresters have a home in Alexandria, VA and a home in Grand Cayman Islands. They live in Grand Cayman full time, but also have 2 homes here and friends, family and themselves use frequently....so much so it's as if someone is really at the home full time, yet they use Extra You twice weekly to oversee the comings and goings. Prepare for "other guest" (with flowers, groceries and gifts), take care of deliveries to the home, unpack boxes as received and distribute as instructed. We deal with contractors monthly and oversaw a renovation on their behalf. 8-12 hours per month
