A Mobile Notary travels to a person's home or office; travels to hospitals, libraries, schools, nursing homes and more and performs notarizations in accordance with Virginia Notary Law. Many mobile notaries offer their services in the evenings and / or weekends. Earlier appointments or later in the evenings are charged at higher rates. Typically $25 more on the flat rate. Mobile notaries will often set up territories and their rates are based on those distances. See our "Request for Signing" forms below.
We perform notarization for:

• Claim Forms (General)
• Insurance Claims
• Safe Deposit box drillings at banks
• Travel Documents (for child or adult)
• Permission slips
• Medical documents
• Small Attorneys offices
• Schools (Field trip forms, etc.)
• Site Inspections
Log books are not required in Virginia; however we keep one up to date and securely locked up.
We can only vouch for a person’s identity based on that person's documentation (a valid driver's license) or by the notary's own personal knowledge of the person who needs the notary's stamp. For instance I've known certain friends or neighbors for years, but someone calling me to meet them for the first time would have to be identified by identification. We will not sign for those person's not present nor should any other legitimate notary. The person requesting a signature must be present.
We are authorized to acknowledge:
• Signatures
• Certify copies of non-government documents which are not otherwise available
• Take or Administer Oaths
Translators for Signings
Should you need a translator for a signing, we can provide one. This will require 48-72 hour notice in most cases as well as an additional charge. See our "Request for Signing" forms below.
Forms
Below we have supplied you with acknowledgement forms for your convenience and use. Help yourself.
Notary's cannot:
• Authenticate their own signature or that of their spouse. They also cannot vouch for a document for them, nor is their spouse a party to.
• Certify a copy of a death certificate
• Certify a copy of a birth certificate
Notary Signing Agents & RESA Agents
Many mobile notaries perform as "notary signing agents" who facilitate the witness signing of mortgage loan documents through a lender/title company. Mobile notaries can also perform a variety of field inspector jobs. Mobile notaries are independent contractors and not employees. "Extra You" is not a Notary Signing Agent at this time. However, we arehappy to refer you to Bryce Hall who is. Bryce is also a Virginia Real Estate Settlement Agent also known as RESA. Rebekah Phelps has her commission and went beyond The State of Virginia requirements for a Virginia Notary. Bryce hall has 30 years experience and trains notary's in four (4) different states. Rebekah took Bryce's online courses and went beyond that training to take her "mobile notary course."
Payment Information and Inquiry Form.
Notary Services must be paid by credit card or money order from individuals. A 3% charge of the total will apply if paying by credit card and the card will be charged before we leave or money orders are accepted upon arrival.
We only except checks from companies needing a traveling notary.
